Anne Edwards, Sally Meyer

Anne and Sally are two moms who decided to make a movie. As a result, they produced the film Minor Details, which screens at the LDS Film Festival this year. Sally is also the screenwriter of the film, and has three other projects in this year's festival. The two will talk about their experience and how they got from an idea to a full length movie. They will show clips from the film and answer questions from the audience.

Michael Flynn

Michael has numerous years of acting experience, appearing in over 100 film and television projects. In recent years, he also began producing films, most notably The Best Two Years, The Dance, and Heber Holiday. Michael has taught acting for many years and has recently opened The Actors Workshop. He will talk about his acting and producing experience and offer insight into his many years of working in film.

When catastrophe strikes Jack’s independent film set, he suddenly finds himself in desperate need of funding, and he’ll do anything to get it... even if it means pretending to be a Mormon. Upon finding an ad for an LDS artists grant, Jack, much to the dismay of his roommate Troy, quickly “Mormonizes” himself and sets off to be interviewed. Everything goes according to plan until Jack meets someone who threatens to throw a wrench in the works. Q&A with the filmmakers after the screening.

After last year's The Errand of Angels, Christian returns with a new film to the festival, Father in Israel. Besides being an active filmmaker, he is also the founder and president of the LDS Film Festival. Christian will talk about the future of LDS Cinema and the LDS Film Festival, and will introduce his unique film production model. He will also talk about the efforts of the festival to support young filmmakers.

Pornography, Confronting the Addiction

Pornography, Confronting the Addiction follows an addiction, from the initiation of the addiction, through the moment when an addict finally begins to seek help. The story is real and is told through interviews with both addicts and spouses of addicts, and through dramatic illustrations. An experienced marriage and family therapist specializing in pornography addiction, talks about the current problem with pornography and how exposure to pornography can have a negative impacts on it’s viewers. The film also addresses the steps needed to begin the recovery process.

The Lighted Candle Society

The Lighted Candle Society is the nationwide community of concerned citizens dedicated to the eradication of pornography. This video details the battle of pornography against our society and what our group is doing to combat it. Q&A with the filmmakers after the screening.

Seth Packard

Seth wrote, directed and starred in HottieBoombaLottie, a comedy that recently premiered at the LA Film Festival. He has been a professional actor for the past five years, and his credits include three Disney Channel Original films as well as a lead role in I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer. Seth will show clips from HottieBoombaLottie and explore how he got from script to screen to distribution deal.

Maclain is the lead in both Dragon Hunter and The Sinking of Santa Isabel. He is also a producer of the two films and feels comfortable both in front and behind the camera. Maclain will talk about his versatile experience in filmmaking, and explore the importance of being involved in all aspects of filmmaking.

Chante Wouden: Faith and Miracles is the story of a two time cancer survivor who discovers that her battle for life is not over. After struggling with and overcoming cancer twice by the age of 17, Chante thought that life has dealt her all her bad cards, that is until she finds herself in the hospital once again at the age of 27. Having to look death in the face, Chante reflects on her youth and how far she has come. Q&A with the filmmakers after the screening.

To Lose, to Love, and to Be Free

Alan, Russ, and Zach are with Cosmic Pictures and Universal Post and have extensive experience in post-production workflow and color correction. They also focus specifically on workflow with the new RED Camera Technology, and have recently done just that with Christian Vuissa's Father in Israel, where the provided dailies during production and managed the high-res conversion and color correction. They will talk about Universal Post's services with RED workflow and color correction.

Scout Camp is a coming-of-age comedy starring Shawn Carter (High School Musical 3) and Kirby Heyborne (Saints and Soldiers).
